- Aquinas's Summa Theologiae relies extensively and explicitly on Aristotle's Metaphysics, most famously in the Five Ways' first-cause and unmoved-mover arguments; by the Summa's composition Aquinas was working from William of Moerbeke's fresh, more literal Latin translation, which he had commissioned use of for his mature Aristotelian engagement.
